To help undergraduate students understand the complexities of what creative nonfiction is, we reached out to a Nonfiction MFA student here at the University of Iowa, Liv Kane.

We participated in a Literary Merry-Go-Round event featuring six Iowa literary magazines! It was a super fun generative writing event with all sorts of genres; we collected confessions and gave students writing prompts with our “fortune tellers.” Thank you to Snapshots for hosting this awesome event. We had our first table at the Student Org Fair! It was great getting to tell everyone more about Catharsis and talk with students who were interested in joining our staff & publishing their work.
