Environmental Literature Recs

Nonfiction is the art of expression, but it is also a medium of learning. Though Catharsis largely focuses on creative nonfiction, we aim to highlight other forms of nonfiction. This blogpost centers nonfiction books surrounding environmental topics from energy to conservation, displaying the science behind environmental degradation and its impacts on nature and our society.

Literary Merry-Go-Round

We participated in a Literary Merry-Go-Round event featuring six Iowa literary magazines! It was a super fun generative writing event with all sorts of genres; we collected confessions and gave students writing prompts with our “fortune tellers.” Thank you to Snapshots for hosting this awesome event.
